Accessibility
Last updated July 2026
We want Standing On Wellness to be usable by everyone, regardless of ability. Wellness should not be gated behind a website that is hard to read, hard to navigate, or impossible to use with assistive technology.
Our standard
Our goal is to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. We treat that as an ongoing commitment rather than a finished state, and we test against it as we build.
We are a small business and we do not employ a dedicated accessibility team or use a paid accessibility vendor. We would rather tell you that plainly than imply a level of formal auditing we do not have.
What we have done
Colour contrast. Every text and background pair in our site and member application has been measured against WCAG standards. Body text sits at roughly 16:1 against the page, well above the 4.5:1 requirement, and no text pair falls below the applicable minimum.
Keyboard navigation. Every link, button, and control can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone, and a clearly visible outline shows which element currently has focus. A skip link lets keyboard and screen reader users jump straight to the main content.
Screen readers and structure. Pages use real headings in a logical order, semantic landmarks, and genuine links and buttons rather than styled elements that only look clickable. Images that carry meaning have text alternatives, and decorative images are marked so screen readers skip them.
Reduced motion. If your device is set to reduce motion, our animations and transitions are disabled, including the breathing animation in the member application.
Touch and text size. Interactive elements are at least 48 pixels tall so they are easy to tap accurately. Text is set in relative units and responds to your browser or device text size settings, including zoom to 200 percent.
Plain language. We write in ordinary sentences and avoid jargon where we can. Where a technical or botanical term is necessary, we explain it.
Where we depend on others
Parts of the experience run on platforms we do not control, and their accessibility is largely determined by them rather than by us. Our membership communities are hosted on Skool, our member login is provided by Softr, and our privacy policy and terms are displayed through Termly.
We chose these platforms for other reasons and we cannot fix accessibility issues inside them directly. If you hit a barrier on one of those services, please tell us anyway. We will raise it with the provider, and where a barrier prevents you from using something you have paid for, we will find another way to get you the material.
Known limitations
We have not conducted a formal third-party accessibility audit, and we have not tested with every combination of assistive technology, browser, and operating system. Video and audio content we publish in future may not have captions or transcripts available immediately on release.
We would rather name these gaps than let you discover them.
Tell us about a barrier
If any part of Standing On Wellness is difficult or impossible for you to use, please email support@standingonwellness.com with the word "accessibility" in the subject line.
Tell us what you were trying to do, where you were, and what got in the way. Include the assistive technology, browser, or device you use if that is relevant. We aim to respond within five business days, and we will tell you honestly whether we can fix it, when, or whether it sits with one of the platforms we rely on.
If you need any material from our website or membership in a different format, ask and we will provide it.
